The hand-grinding had removed the surface layer of the concrete flooring and had polished up the stones in the cement, and the effect was stunning. The sealer brought out all the detail in the concrete and we were very pleased with the outcome. We congratulated ourselves for a job well done, and went home to sleep.
The next morning we went back to examine the work and were shocked to discover that due to the positioning of the building, the morning sun shone brightly on the flight of stairs leading up from the lobby , and the stairs looked appalling.
